This month, 20/20, the prominent optical industry magazine, is highlighting the SunSync® Light-Reactive Lenses portfolio in a front-page feature named "Welcome to the Golden Age of Photochromics."
In the article, 20/20 highlights the advanced technology behind SunSync Elite as a game-changing innovation for light-reactive lenses, praising its ability to change from dark to clear in seconds. Overall, as the article's title implies, products like SunSync Elite and SunSync Drive XT are elevating the photochromic category out of its fifty-year-old rut.
What's more, the portfolio's state-of-the-art technological sophistication far surpasses the cosmetic options, such as mirror and color coatings, that make up many brands' calling cards.
Photochromic lenses have gone through a remarkable development."

I have had my sunsync lens for a couple of weeks. I work for a practice in Michigan and I don't think that I would recommend these lens to many patients. They do not seem to change back within a couple of minutes, in fact I think more like 4 to 5 minutes. Although they seem to be darker then my previous transitions. It has been very cold here and we wonder if the extreme cold has something to do with this so I will wait until it warms up a bit to make a final decision.

Hi Dawn,

Thanks so much for your comment. I'd like to verify that you actually received SunSync Elite. It sounds like you may have gotten the original SunSync lenses which have comparable fade-back times to other standard light-reactive lenses.

SunSync Elite returns to clear exceptionally fast. Would you mind emailing us directly at sunsync@vsp.com so we can take a look at your order and confirm that you received SunSync Elite?

Thanks again and stay warm!
Paul J.
