SunSync Unveils Next Wave of Elite and Elite XT Products

Who says the best can’t get better? The two light-reactive lenses that sparked an industry shakeup are at it again. SunSync Elite and SunSync Elite XT have been reimagined to offer wearers better functional performance and personal appearance.

SunSync Elite still sets the standard for fade-back speed, and now features the following enhancements:

• Clearer indoor appearance[1]
• Darker outdoor appearance[2]
• Faster activation[3]
• New, truer gray color

SunSync Elite XT, the ultra-fast extra reactive offering in the portfolio, was upgraded in the following areas:

• Clearer indoor appearance[4]
• New, truer, extra-dark gray color outdoors.

“We were really pleased with the reception of our initial ultra-fast light-reactive lenses, but we made a commitment when we launched them to pave the way forward in this category. This next wave of Elite and Elite XT products shows that wasn’t an empty promise. We’ve built on our pioneering technology to offer eye care professionals products they can feel great about recommending and wearers can depend on to keep up with their lives while providing visual comfort, clarity, and defense,” said Vice President of Product Management, Alan Burt. 

Responsive to More than Light

From the new, truer gray color to the markedly clearer indoor appearance, improvements to both products were made in response to direct feedback from eye care professionals and wearers.

“Ultra-fast light-reactive lenses were created to answer the call from ECPs and patients for a photochromic that finally overcame the slow fade-back barrier. Why would we stop there? Our customers definitely had a part to play in the development of this wave of SunSync Elite and SunSync Elite XT products. And they’ll continue to do so moving forward,” Burt said.

Speed: Both lenses continue to deliver the groundbreaking fade-back speed that revolutionized the light-reactive landscape. SunSync Elite changes from dark to its even clearer indoor appearance in seconds rather than minutes[5], outperforming the industry’s top-selling photochromic[6]. 

SunSync Elite XT takes a little longer than SunSync Elite to return to its new clearer appearance, but it’s significantly faster than both the top-selling conventional photochromic and its extra reactive counterpart[7].

UV Protection: Whether patients opt for the fastest (SunSync Elite) or the darkest (SunSync Elite XT), they’ll get the same level of UV protection – 100%.

Blue Light Defense: You can’t create a lens dedicated to today’s lifestyles without accounting for blue light exposure and its potential effects. Blue light exposure is no longer bound by age. Young and old alike are now dependent on technology – even more so in our current work, learn, and socialize from home environment. Both SunSync Elite and SunSync Elite XT deliver exceptional blue light defense indoors and outdoors, whether clear or dark.

Availability: SunSync Elite is now available in even more materials with Trivex recently added, and FT28 polycarbonate slated for May.
